Nice to meet you!
Hi, I’m Dr. Cynthia Phelps
I am your Guide and Advocate through the healing of the inner voice. I love helping people develop the skills to be kind and supportive of themselves, especially in times of challenge.
I discovered the power of Inner Compassion during my journey through addiction recovery. But, as a researcher, I needed to see the proof. What I discovered not only opened up the world of recovery, but it also led to profound insights beneficial to mental health and well being.
It turns out how you speak to yourself is the key to getting what you want out of life.
I’m a Researcher
I’m a Coach
I’m an International Speaker
I’m a Geekgurl
I’m a Creative
I love making things! From digital products to the visual arts, I enjoy creating and playing. I’m currently working with cold wax and oil paints, but I also create with wood, leather, beads, fiber and more. Pre-pandemic I used to really enjoy experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, but I’m afraid I’m a bit burned out on that right now!
I’m a Teacher
I love designing and teaching courses and building evidence-based curricula. Teaching is so much fun for me, you will find me randomly assigning homework to people I meet, LOL. You can take the academic out academic, but my drive to teach and engage learners is strong!
Compassionate
The science of compassion and mindfulness are the foundation of the InnerAlly Process, and core to my coaching.
Trauma Informed
I use the latest research in trauma informed care to create the most supportive expereince for my clients.
Recovery Focused
We are all recovering from something, so I use evidence-based principles to make positive change.
So Fancy! Why So Many Credentials?
I take my work very seriously because the people who come to me have often been emotionally harmed, or are struggling in life for some reason. I’m dedicated to doing my best to stay updated on the latest research and techniques that benefit the InnerAlly Process. Coaching is an unregulated industry, so I take it upon myself to do my own continued training.
